We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Artsy, a unique online platform whose mission is “to make all the world’s art accessible to anyone with an Internet connection” and aims “to create an educational, engaging resource for people to explore and discover world’s art and to change how art is bought, sold, and discovered in the process”. http://artsy.net/albanianinstitute/about

Artsy partners include leading galleries, museums, and arts institutions including: Guggenheim Museum, Japan Society, The British Museum, BAM, and has attracted users from over 186 countries around the world. This is a great platform for the Albanian Institute to promote exhibitions, our artists and art creative achievements worldwide.

The Wall Street Journal recently published anArt.sylogo_2.tiff article entitled “Online Art Collecting Finds Its Footing” stating that  ”Acquiring a pedigreed piece of art used to be the cloistered domain of dealers and auction houses. But now three companies [Paddle8, Artspace, Artsy] may revolutionize the centuries-old business by making art as easy to buy online as a pair of shoes”. In another article published in Forbs: “Why Artsy Is Succeeding In Putting The Art World Online” Cleveland, founder of Artsy, outlined some key features of Artsy’s success as Artsy’s Genome Project, which maps artworks to offer recommendations to viewers, is catching up with the Google Art Projecta comparative endeavor which just a year ago had an image library nearly twice that of Artsy’s. As well as providing a Pandora-like art discovery service, Artsy posts educational content and contact details for galleries ”. We are looking forward to embark on this ambitious journey to reach an expanding global audience.
